Our minister is the Reverend Carolyn Price. Carolyn holds a Master's of Divinity degree from the Claremont School of Theology, with coursework in theology, social justice, worship and preaching from Meadville Lombard Theological School, our Unitarian Universalist seminary affiliated with the University of Chicago. She holds Preliminary Fellowship as a Parish Minister with the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and holds a certificate of completion of five Renaissance modules in religious education. Prior to training for the ministry, Carolyn was a long time lay leader in her home congregation and in the Pacific Southwest District (PSWD). She studied organizational development and change at the University of California, Santa Barbara and continues to serve as a PSWD consultant to congregations for board and committee retreats, visioning, planned change, and conflict resolution as part of her wider ministry. In her earlier career Carolyn taught junior high and high school English, Literature, and Writing; worked as an educational researcher for the University of California; and directed a non-profit organization. A stay at home mom for 10 years, she home schooled her two daughters and served as a Girl Scout leader and science club instructor. Carolyn's outside interests include spending time with her family, yoga, hiking, and gardening. SERMONS You may click on the link below to read one of Carolyn's sermons.
