This is the oldest known postcard picture of the Church. The photo dates from the 1890s. Note the telegraph pole that is not evident in the next early photo.
This is a nice, clear historic photo of the Church in the early 1900s. Note that the telegraph pole is gone, and at the left and right there are trees now. Main Street is still unpaved in this picture.
This is the interior of the Church as it looked soon after the new organ was installed in 1923. The console is at the left end of the archway. Today the console sits in the center of the archway facing the windows.
This postcard photo shows the Church when it was covered with ivy. The ivy was removed in the 1980s due to its pervasive invasion of the building's mortar. Much of the building's beautiful hand-applied parge coating, loosened by the ivy and weathering, fell away with the ivy when it was removed.
Here is the Church's exterior as it appears today. Not as dramatic in appearance as the early photos perhaps, but it is still a beloved edifice in Santa Paula, and was created a Ventura County Historic Landmark #38 on September 9, 1984.
This is the interior of the Church as it appears today. Loving care has been taken of the interior of the Sanctuary and it evokes a sense of a time long past.
